Situated just an hour outside of Cape Town, in Simons Town, you will meet our free roaming colony of unique and endangered African Penguins.
Shifted from the vulnerable to endangered species list, African Penguins began heading toward extinction when Industrial Fishing started in the Cape, so to encounter them roaming freely on bright and breezy day on the beautiful sandy shores of Boulders Beach is nothing less than spectacular.
The Boulders Penguin Colony is one of only a few in the world, making it a famous international tourist destination. Made up of inlets between granite boulders this sheltered bay is open to the public with a penguin viewing area and 3 boardwalks. While there are a number of restaurant and accommodation options nearby for your convenience, why not opt for a picnic on the beach after you’ve visited the Penguins?
